Criteria
• If
possible, try to visit the UAE up to 6 month prior to your relocation to Dubai,
so you can look around the schools and register well in advance.
• In some schools, students have to take an admission test prior to being
offered a place.
• Many schools and colleges have online pupil registration forms where you can
apply to register.
• Knowledge and Human
Development Authority (KHDA) website has a directory listing and guide
for all government, private, special needs, day care centres, etc. (Choose type of school &
location from Directory).
From 2009 onwards,
KHDA has school reports published on their website to provide a comprehensive
review of the performance of each school in Dubai. The reports provide parents
in Dubai with detailed information about school quality to help inform their
choice regarding school selection. Inspectors evaluated school performance
using a number of quality indicators. These were applied consistently across
all schools in Dubai to give ratings from 'outstanding,' 'good', 'satisfactory
'to 'unacceptable'.
Fees
Fees vary
from school to school. However, KHDA has a list of all schools with their fee structure for
your easy reference.
