Definition:
An establishment can
submit an application form for an online work permit to recruit an employee
from outside the country. This permit is processed instantly at the counter
without having to be shown to the work permit committee, provided that the
establishment is subject to inspection at a future date.
Beneficiaries:
-
Minor
establishments with limited number of employees.
-
New
establishments.
-
An
online work permit is issued in lieu of an already cancelled permit for all
establishments excluding the contracting sector, maintenance, marine
engineering services and cleaning services.
Conditions:
-
The
profession in which the employee will work for the employer should be in line
with the establishment’s activity.
-
The
employee’s passport should be valid for minimum 6 months.
-
The
employee’s age should range between 18 and 60 years.
-
All
the employer’s establishments should have a violation-free record, which should
contain no expired licences or labour cards.
-
No
more than 3 months should have lapsed from the date of cancellation in case the
permit is issued in lieu of an already cancelled one.
-
The
original cancellation receipt sealed from the airport should be attached in
case of a permit issued in lieu of an already cancelled one.
Required
Documents:
-
A
copy of the establishment’s signature card.
-
A
copy of the employee’s passport.
-
A
photo of the employee.
-
A
copy of the valid licence.
-
A
copy of his driving licence in case the application form is for the job of a
driver.
-
Approval as per a letter
issued by the Ministry of Health plus the academic degree in case the
application form is for the job of a doctor, a pharmacist or a nurse or for
other technical and medical professions.
-
Approval as per a letter
issued by the Ministry of Education in case the application form is for the job
of a private sector teacher.
-
Industrial production
certificate issued by the Ministry of Finance and Industry in case of
industrial licences.
-
Copies of the academic
degree attested by the competent authorities as per the ministry’s
procedures.
N.B.
The transaction will
be finalized instantly at the counter, either by being approved or returned in
case of any shortages so that they are provided.
Fees:
-
AED200 for an online work
permit application form for all categories of establishments.
-
For
approval of an online work permit: AED 1,000 for an establishment from category
(A), AED 2,000 from category (B) and AED 3,000 from category (C).
-
For
approval of an online work permit for those over 60 years of age including a
one-year labour card: AED 500 for all categories of
establishments.
-
For a
10-day extension of an online work permit: AED 500.
