Introduction:
In the UAE, mail is
not delivered to home addresses. Instead, it is delivered to P.O. Boxes. Many
people use their company's P.O.Box number. However, you can rent your own
personal P.O Box. These are situated at all post offices & some commercial
buildings.
Documents
Required:
• Passport copy
with residency stamp (passport must be valid for at least 6 months)
• Two passport photos
• A completed form you can find at the post office.
•You can also rent a P. O. Box online, but you have more location options if you go to
the post office.
Subscription Fee
for New P.O. Box is AED 50
For new tenants, the year is divided into thirds, for the first year only, as
follows:
For Individuals
During the first 4 months of the year, rent is AED 200
During the
second 4 months of the year, rent is AED 150
During the last 4
months of the year, rent is AED 100
(add AED 10 for every key you need)
For
Companies
During the first 4 months of the year, rent is AED 500
During the second 4 months of the year, rent is AED 400
During the last 4 months of the year, rent is AED 300
(add AED 10 for every
key you need)
Note: Private Mail Delivery and
Pick-up & Delivery Services are also available on a contractual basis.
Buildings can also offer Private Post Boxes to the tenants. For more

Take the above
mentioned documents and the required fees to the post office near you and you
can get the keys to your box right away.
