Treatment Abroad
Dubai citizens who need a specialized medical treatment not available locally can get that treatment in leading international medical institutions. Eligible citizens can apply through Dubai Health Authority (DHA), which assess medical cases and facilitate travel, accommodation, and treatment arrangements. DHA ensures that patients receive advanced care while maintaining support throughout their treatment journey.
The patient or his / her representative shall apply for overseas treatment request through Shefa system and provide the following documents:
Copy of the patient insurance card
Copy of the patient passport from Dubai
Copy of the patient Emirates ID
Updated Medical report
