Public Transport in Dubai

Dubai Metro

Dubai Metro is operating on two different routes (red and green lines). The red line starts at Centrepoint and ends at the UAE Exchange or Expo 2020, while the green line starts at Etisalat and ends at Creek.
A Dubai Metro train comprises of various types of cabins, designated for different types of commuters, which include nol gold card holders cabin, a cabin designated for women and children and two Silver Class cabins.
Blue line
The Dubai Metro Blue Line Project, approved by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will span 30 km with 14 stations. It connects Dubai’s most vital areas and supports the Dubai Urban Plan 2040 through the Dubai Silicon Oasis area.
It is scheduled for opening on 9/9/2029, and will be the first transportation project to receive the Platinum Green Building Certification (LEED), reaffirming Dubai’s commitment to the highest standards of environmental sustainability.The project will serve one million residents.
Dubai Tram
The Dubai Tram network covers a distance of 10.6 kilometers and includes 11 stations along King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street and the Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) area. Dubai Tram is also connected to the Dubai Metro Red Line and Palm Jumeirah Monorail.
Dubai Bus
Dubai Bus network is composed of a fleet of more than 1560 buses, cover 88% of the urban area in the Emirate of Dubai. Dubai Bus operates 192 lines, including 65 lines linking to metro stations, 13 intercity lines to transport passengers to other emirates, 103 internal lines and 11 express lines. Dubai Taxi
Dubai Taxi is a popular means of transportation in Dubai, which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They cover all areas of the city and are fitted with controlled fare meters.
