The website of the General Directorate for Identity and Foreign Affairs-Dubai enables users to track their visa validity or visa application status online.
To check the status of your visa application, you need your Application Number, Transaction Number, and Payment Date. The site provides real-time updates on your visa application progress.
To verify your visa validity, you need to enter your first name, file number, nationality, and birth date.
Stay safe from labor and visa fraud
If you want to enter Dubai for the purpose of work, visit, investment, residence or any other legal purpose, you should keep yourself save from visa fraud. Therefore, follow the tips below before coming to Dubai:
If you are offered a job in Dubai, you must get an offer letter issued by the UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE). You can use the job offer number to verify offer validity.
After you sign the offer letter, the employer will send you an employment visa to enter Dubai.
You cannot work on a visit or tourist visa in Dubai. Working under visit or tourist visa will bring you penalties and legal liability.
Never pay for a job. The employer is responsible for payment of recruitment expenses as per Article 6 of the UAE’s Labor Law.
If you have an entry permit/visa issued from Dubai, please verify its validity at the GDRFA’s website.
A residence visa cannot be processed for anyone while the candidate is outside the UAE. A residence visa can be issued only when the candidate is inside Dubai having entered on employment entry permit.
