Domestic workers are typically employed by private households to perform tasks such as cleaning, cooking, farming, driving, childcare, and elderly care. The UAE government requires that employers provide domestic workers with a written contract, outlining their rights and duties, and ensure fair treatment, including adequate rest, accommodation, and wages.
To hire a domestic worker, a household should contact an approved recruitment agency that facilitate the visa process, travel arrangements, and employment contracts.
